| 「專訪」阿姆斯特丹室內設計師夫妻 TOBIAS & MARIELLE 的家 |

 來自德國的 Tobias 與荷蘭女生 Marielle 在紐約因室內設計工作而相識。兩人之後於不同城市各自工作後最終落腳於阿姆斯特丹共組家庭。他們搬進了這棟非常有歷史背景的建築，阿姆斯特丹最早期蓋給藝術家當工作市的經典建築之一，也因此時常有建築系的學生在他們家外面光顧拍照。因兩人的職業，這間屋子除了剛搬進來的廚房設備與地板之外，大部份的家具及起居細節都是由他們自己構思，畫圖，再一同裝修的。 兩個人在客廳規劃上花了很多心思。有了小孩後希望家具與空間可靈活使用，因而設計了書櫃裡隱藏式的桌子；需要時拉出可當辦公桌，有客人來時可與餐桌連結在一起變成吃飯用的長桌，而不需要時收起來空間就寬敞許多。客廳的一角也擺了一張給兒子畫畫的小桌與專屬的立燈，讓他可跟父母一起共用空間。 Tobias 與 Marielle 的工作背景相同，兩人的興趣，喜歡逛的店，居家風格等都有共識。也正因如此能夠理解及一起完成彼此想要做的事情。「每次我們有新的計劃，就將小孩拜託父母照顧，花上一整天在房子裡做工。可以一起建蓋自己的家是件很棒的事。」  A Peek Inside the Home of Architectural Designers Tobias & Marielle Tobias and Marielle first met in New York years ago because of work. Now, the two are settled down in Amsterdam, a city close to both of their hometowns since three years ago. They moved into a historic building, one of the earliest Dutch architecture built for artist ateliers during the time, attracting many architecture students stopping by to speculate its structure. The two share a professional background in interior and architectural design, and hence many of the furnitures and details of the house were done by themselves — the couple planned, drew out, designed, and built it together. The living room was made to be a flexible space; especially with two kids, they designed a common area for the family to be together. The modular bookshelf and bench was designed with a table that can be pulled out or pushed inside allowing for more space. When pushed out, the table can be used as a workspace or transformed into a long table with the addition of the dining table to host more guests. The kids also have a lot of fun hiding under the table, running their toy trucks across the bench, or standing on it for a nice view looking out the window. Because of the similarity in their profession, it was much easier for them to communicate and understand what the other wanted to do or had in mind.
